Origin PC has unveiled its EON11-S gamer laptop with Intel’s recently released Ivy Bridge processors.
The $999 laptop has an 11-inch screen and Ivy Bridge-based Core processors. It also comes with Nvidia GeForce GT 650M graphics and Nvidia’s Optimus graphics switching technology. It is aimed at gamers, artists, enthusiasts and professionals.
The laptop comes in matte black, matte red, glossy silver, or your choice of custom paint. The laptop has a battery life of as long as 6.5 hours using the Optimus technology, which turns off the discrete graphics chip when it isn’t needed. The machine weighs less than 4 pounds. It has Bluetooth 4.0, wireless networking, universal serial bus (USB 3.0) and HDMI connectivity.
“Origin PC continues to lead the industry by unveiling our powerful, compact, lightweight EON 11-S and adding Intel’s highly anticipated 3rd generation processors to our award winning lineup of desktops and laptops.” said Kevin Wasielewski, chief executive and co-founder of Miami-based Origin PC. “Everyone dreams of a laptop that is smaller, lighter, has a longer battery life and has the ability to play all of the latest PC games well. The EON11-S makes that dream a reality and without making any “ultra-sacrifices”.”
