Retailer taking Dead Space 3 pre-orders South African store has a history of outing games ahead of official reveals

South African retailer BT Games has begun accepting pre-orders for the as-yet-unannounced Dead Space 3.

IGN has the photo evidence of the retailer's original online listing, although it has now been altered. It no longer says Dead Space 3, instead calling the product the "latest release in the Dead Space franchise", while the publisher is now listed as 2K Games rather than EA and the release date as 2011.
BT Games previously outed Jak and Daxter HD Collection a month ahead of its official announcement, as well as Mass Effect 3's multiplayer component. It has also carried a listing for God of War 4, a game we're hoping will be the subject of a Sony reveal planned for tomorrow.

Dead Space 3 was seemingly first revealed last September by an Israeli news show featuring what appeared to be leaked artwork.

Shortly after, Siliconera posted multiple reports claiming to reveal details of the plot. It said Dead Space 3 will ditch the series' typical spaceship setting in favour of an icy planet called Tau Volantis, where Isaac is on a rescue mission he's reluctantly accepted because there's a warrant out for his arrest.

He'll also reportedly have a split personality, with "Shadow Isaac" taunting our hero every chance he gets. These mind games will apparently play a major role in proceedings, with Isaac's shadow self viewable as a separate on-screen character.
