The Maingear F131 PC and the new Potenza system are the latest additions to the company’s lineup housing the VRTX cooling technology. Besides these, all desktops and laptops from the New Jersey-based manufacturer have been updated to the third generation of Intel Core processors.
Design-wise, the updated F131 computer should look no different than its predecessor. It incorporates a new micro ATX vertical heat dissipation system along with the VRTX cooling technology. With dimensions of 9.25 x 19.17 x 11.18 inches, this machine flaunts a 2.5mm sand-blasted and anodized aluminum chassis and comes bearing support for dual GPUs as well as a hot-swap bay. It’s also equipped with a slot loading optical drive.
“We are very excited and offer the option for our customers to select a MAINGEAR desktop with heat dissipation solution in three different chassis size and performance levels,” commented Wallace Santos, CEO and Founder of Maingear. “The new 3rd generation Intel Core i7 3930K processor and Intel Z77 Chipset, built in any of our desktops offer the ultimate gaming experience.”
Said to be the third rig that incorporates the vertical heat dissipation system, the Maingear Potenza is apparently the first mini-ITX gaming PC to feature a Digi+ VRM design with overclocking capabilities. Being 45% and 76% smaller than the F131 and the Shift PCs, respectively, it’s designed around dimension of 7.4 x 15.6 x 9.25 inches. And according to the company, this PC is likely to house 10-inch GPUs including the GeForce GTX 680 from Nvidia, and 3.5-inch as well as 2.5-inch drives.
The updated Maingear F131 price starts at $1,049, while the Potenza price initially reads as $899.
